I got this to replace a POS [****] has push mower that wouldn't ever start after the first year-end which never failed to anger me due to the prominent "guaranteed to start" sticker? proudly displayed on the front of it.This mower is awesome, I have a large steep hill in my yard that has very thick grass. This went through that like it was nothing! I love the way it starts, push a button and you're off and mowing! The light weight of it is a godsend, around 35 pounds! Had mowers are about twice that.The cord does take some wrangling, I felt like I was throwing lassoes a few times, but I'll have the hang of it in a few more sessions. It felt great knowing my CO2 emissions from mowing were greatly reduced!Couple of things, it is not self propelled, but it is really easy to push and maneuver.? The cord holder they provide is not up to the task of handling a heavy duty cord, I'm going to have to come up with a different option myself, for now just holding it with my hands on the handle worked.
I bought this mower a year ago and it worked great last summer. It cuts very well and bags just as good. The cut is is very good and it is fairly lightweight. The height adjustment is a single hand operation. The cord tamer is a real plus, making it much easier to navigate through the yard with the chord. The motor does bog a little on very thick grass but simply slowing down helps to get through it.Now for the customer service, all I can say is wow. If more companies were this easy to deal with then the marketplace would be a joy in every way. The mower did give me some problems this season. It began to rev up and down and then gave out. Well I called in for a warranty service, the four year warranty was a major factor in this brand choice, and the agent was very friendly and pleasant. She asked a few questions to determine the problem and verified I was not near a repair center. She advised they would send me a replacement and it should arrive in 5-10 business days. Well 4 days later I had a brand new mower at my front door and was able to cut the grass today. A true value of their customers really show. I certainly would recommend this companies products to anyone looking to get away from gas products.My next? purchases will be in the battery powered products they offer.
I've had this mower over a year now and offer nonstop abuse. I love this thing and will gladly buy another when it dies. I like that it's lightweight, simple to start, and out performs several gasoline powered mowers I've had. As you can see, it was able to cut through young trees and chest height weeds. Truly remarkable for an electric mower at this price.
I am so glad i purchased this.? I was having a hard time keeping a gas mower running.? No worries with this electric mower.? Pull a lever , push a button and start mowing.? I read the reviews and made sure to purchase the right extension cord to use with this. (15 amp,? 12 guage)? I have used it for two [****] now.? I am planning on purchasing a battery operated one to use this summer!? I am pretty good at keeping the cord out of the way when i mow, but I just want the flexibility of the battery operated mower.
This is my first electric mower.? I enjoy not having to smell like gasoline after cutting the grass.? It is relatively quiet compared to a gas powered mower.? You will hear a constant hum without the exhaust fumes.? Initially I thought having a cord would be an issue but it really isn't.? Make sure you pull all the slack of the extension cord at one corner and then mow away from that corner.? You won't have any problems with the cord being in the way as it will always be behind you.? I bought the 12 gauge 100ft cord with this mower since I've read some people had issues with the smaller gauges (14 and 16).? I've cut the lawn twice with this mower. The first time I used the bag. No problems there.? The second time, I used the mulch function without a bag.? It does a fine job at mulching the grass without much mess.? You will not find the same suction as you would with a gas mower on this one but it does the job well at cutting grass. I ran over a tree root and subsequently bent the blade to a 90 degree. I detached the blade and hammered it straight again.? Still works perfect.? I would recommend purchasing this to a friend.The only thing that I wished for this mower was for the wheels to be sturdier.? They function fine but they do wobble a bit.? I hope it'll last a long time.
