We needed a replacement for an expensive cabinet style ceramic heater that died mid winter.? We were using it for supplemental heat in our poorly insulated family room.? We already had plans to renovate the room come summer time, so I was not looking for an expensive solution for a temporary situation.? As it turns out, this heater was much more efficient than our expensive unit that died.? The fact that the heater rotates to spread the warmth over the entire room is a great feature.? And, if you are a lazy senior citizen like the folks in our house, the remote control makes this even better still.? This type of heater is not the cheapest to use as a primary heat source, but as a supplementary source, this unit rocks.

I got one of these through a work rewards program and we love it. When my husband started stealing it from the bathroom to use elsewhere in the house in the morning I decided to buy him his own.? The functions are very nice (high/low heat, rotating, timer, ect). We don't use the remote much just because it is usually close enough to just operate on the heater but they do work and would be handy if it was across the room. That just gave me an idea to play a joke on my husband. Anyway, we've had the first one for about a year and the second for about 5 months and both still operate as they did when we first got them. Definitely worth the money to me.

Great heater!I love using the remote control, so worth the extra bucks! Its a lot tinier than what I expected but its powerful and saves more space. I would have preferred it if it was a little taller but I got over it once I placed it on top of something. It heats up the room even faster if you turn on the oscillation mode and the heater is elevated on top of something for big rooms.It heats up my small attic room in less than 20 minutes on low 72 degrees F. It starts to get too warm in my room easily with this heater on. For bigger rooms like my basement, it still does an amazing job at managing the temperature while it is on auto. it would take about 30 minutes to completely heat up the basement room but you will notice the warm space results in ten minutes. If its on auto, it turns off by itself if the room gets too hot or if the room is over the temperature that it is set on.I haven't had the need to use the timer since it heats up my room so quick that I don't need it on for long periods of time, but I like how there is an option to leave it on by hour, up to eight hours. It would have been better if I could set it by half hour instead.

My third of this style.? Considering the limitations of what can safely be done with normal 110v household outlets, this is a nice device.? My wife who has a couple of other companies' products in her house, appreciates the value of a thermostat setting and being able to precisely dial in comfort to her liking.
