Exactly what I wanted

I am very pleased with my purchase. I wanted a tent to replace my faithful old tent that I could stand up in, that had windows on each side, had good ventilation but also could be completely zipped up to block wind, and that had plenty of room for my air mattress and all my personal gear for trail riding weekends. I got all that with this tent, plus it has more vertical sides than my old tent so seems roomier, has rain flaps over the window and door zippers on the outside, toggles to secure the windows out of the way when unzipped and rolled up, a plastic hook to hang a lantern, a place to run a charging cord outside, mesh pockets to store stuff, and a net for storing more stuff to hang from the top of the tent. Also, it was easier to put up than my old dome tent, which required struggling with two super long tent poles. (The hardest part was putting on the rain fly by myself, but it's super easy with two people.) This tent has two crossed flexible poles across the top which then connect to 4 legs at each corner, plus another stabilizing cross pole from front to back. The sockets for the poles are attached to the tent at each corner and even have their own little bags to cover them to save wear and tear on the tent when folded. The tent comes with 10 stakes, 6 for the tent itself ( kind of odd that two of the sides aren't staked, just the corners and the front and the back), and the rain fly can be secured with guy lines if necessary. While the tent is? stated as being waterproof in the description, in the instructions very helpfully attached to the handy and sizeable carry case, it stated very clearly that it was not, and was meant for shelter from sun and light rain. I didn't try to waterproof it for my first trip, and instead brought a large canopy to set up so I could erect the tent while it was raining and then just left the canopy up all weekend since it just kept raining...and raining...and raining. Therefore I don't know how well it holds up to moderate to heavy rain or winds but with all its other features and based upon all the reviews for other tents which are advertised as waterproof but were not in fact, I'd frankly be just fine with throwing a tarp over it if any more than light rain is in the forecast, just to be sure. There were a number of reviews with complaints about the zipper for the door constantly catching, I assume on the rain flaps. I had no real issue - just don't expect to quickly zip/unzip it one-handed, it takes a little care but I've found that's the case with all tents. The zipper seems pretty hardy. Everything about this tent is well-designed and appears to be of quality materials, in my opinion. At the end of my trip, it was pretty easy to take down, fold up and fit it back in the carry bag along with its rainfly, poles, and stakes.
