How I keep ice cream frozen

I've had my refrigerator for about three weeks.? I works fine and looks great.? I have to stand next to it to hear it running.? It keeps ice cream solid, provided it is operated at fairly constant ambient room temperature.? There is no thermostat in the freezer, which means the lower part has to cool fast enough to run the pump often enough to keep the ice cream frozen. I have mine in my garage where the room temperature ranges from 60F to? over 80F.? When set to medium with temperature above 75F degrees I always have solid ice cream.? The cooler it gets, the higher I have to set the thermostat (and the colder it gets in the lower part).? It would probably start to have problems keeping ice cream frozen in a room around 50F degrees but the lower part would also be below 32F.? I think this is just the thermodynamics of a single thermostat system; i.e., avoiding this is the reason for a separate freezer thermostat.? Once set to keep ice cream hard in a living space with temperature control, it should be fine.

Great Little Frig/Freezer

I'm very happy with my little?? refrigerator/freezer. It arrived in great shape and does exactly as stated. It runs quietly and is like a "mini" full-sized frig/freezer. It truly keeps frozen things frozen and refrigerated things very cold. I have to be careful about placing things next to the frig walls that I don't want frozen, as it will get really cold in the refrigerator portion, too. I like it like that, as I keep milk in the frig and it needs to be as cold as possible to stay fresh a long time after opening.Currently in the frig I have twelve soda cans, a 59-oz bottle of juice, a 16.9-oz bottle of water, a pack of string cheese, two tubs of cream cheese, an oblong butter dish with butter, a pack of walnut pieces and a pack of pecan pieces, two 6-oz containers of yogurt, a quart of milk, some shredded cheddar, a portion of a pack of process cheese, a small tub of candied pecans, a 20-oz bottle of club soda, and a pack of bacon pieces. I had some packaged bacon in there until recently, simultaneously with all that other stuff. In the freezer I have a half-gal. of ice cream, two loaves of whole grain bread, 4 coolee packs, a box of butter sticks, and nothing in the freezer door yet. So it's very roomy. It does need to be scraped (it doesn't defrost on its own). But all-n-all, I'm very pleased with my frig/freezer. It's bigger than I thought it would be, internally and externally -- I am very pleased.

Excellent quality, love the separate fridge and freezer compartments

I definitely would buy this fridge again. It seems worth the price, definitely because of the freezer if not anything else. The freezer is separate from the fridge, which means it definitely keeps your items frozen without freezing everything else. This is perfect for keeping in a bedroom if you have roommates. The fridge is a pretty good size and the freezer fits more than I was expecting. I ended up giving it to my mom for her outdoor bar it still looks great after over a year. The quality is excellent!

Durable Quiet Spacious and Cheap

I dropped this onto cement from chest height and it works perfectly still. It's also very light, and a has a long cord. The freezer is very cold and well spaced It keeps everything at an ideal temperature, without freezing the milk. However I would suggest keeping the glass racks and plastic drawer installed, as they provide insulation necessary to keep the milk and veggis from freezing. You definately can hear it turn on and off from three feet away, but it's not annoying. It sounds like bubbling water. I haven't tried this but I beleive the whole unit could double as a freezer well if the temperature gauge was set to max. Also be warned that this refridgerater produces heat and needs ventilation in the back and shouldn't covered with any sort of blanket or tarp. If used in a tent, leave space between the plastic canvas and the fridge's back. No melting or anything, but it was almost hot with the tent canvas covering the back and the sun beating on it. It's totally fine next to a wall in the house. I wish everything I owned could survive a fall onto cement.

IT SIMPLE. IT WORKS !

I like that the freezer has a separate door. The frozen, stays frozen - yes. I like that there is a little veggie drawer in the bottom of the fridge part, it has proven to be very helpful. I like how many smaller size items I can put in the Fridge shelves and door.? I do miss the fact that I cannot put in gallon size or even half gallon size drinks, but that's what the family fridge upstairs is for. I like having my own little Fridge downstairs in my own little space, along with my Microwave. I get along just fine. This one works much better than my last one. I just hope it last as many years as my other one did.
