Surprisingly efficient for a 40’x15’ office

My office is 40’ x 15’ and I was doubtful that I could warm it with this heater. It’s December in California, so it’s not extremely cold. Ambient temp average is maybe 40* F. I set this unit to 76* and after about 2.5 hours I was sweating! I dropped it down to 70* and after a couple minutes it shut off due to the thermostat. I’ve used it for two weeks now and haven’t had problems. I will update this review if I do have a problem. 1/1/2021.

This heater is sturdy, efficient and does the perfect job of heating room.

I use this to take the chill out of a large room with lots of windows that is farthest away from central heating unit.

Great product to use in SMALL room

I have been using this?? ceramic heater in my mobile home since early November 2010.? I bought this model because it was under $50 and I was trying to "save" money.? I bought it for the purpsose of maintaining the temperature around 68 deg in an area of about 24' x 24' (600 sq ft).? I used my propane heater to get the temperature up to 68 deg or so (and then turned it down to 62 deg) But, I kept the?? heater on HIGH day and night.? It did a great job of keeping the temperature around 68 deg even though the temperature outside was in the 20's and 30's (very cold here for Nov.)Then, I got my electric bill.? Whoa!? Do not get this heater for a large area.? My electric bill shot up from $95 in October to $240 in Nov. even though I only used it for about 3 weeks.? It couldn't maintain the 66 deg temp on LOW--just too much area to heat.I would whole-heartedly recommend this heater for bedrooms, but if you want to reduce your energy costs, do not use it in livingrooms or open areas.Perhaps the larger models could do that on LOW, but running any 1500 WATT heater on high 24 hr/day will cost BIG bucks. The heater itself is great--I just need to run it continuosly and that costs more money than it saves.

Works just as expected

I use hige heat setting to get warmed up, then switch to lower setting to save power.
